Chicago Selective Enrollment High School program is a part of the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) system. These Selective Enrollment High Schools are designed to meet the needs of academically advanced students, offering a rigorous curriculum with a focus on college preparatory courses. Admission to these schools is highly competitive and is based on a combination of factors, including standardized test scores, grades, and the Selective Enrollment Entrance Exam results.


These schools aim to provide a comprehensive education that challenges students to achieve their highest potential. They often feature advanced placement (AP) courses, honors classes, and a wide range of extracurricular activities, from sports to arts and clubs, to foster a well-rounded education.
